Louis A. Lara
Product Design & Development Consultant | Industrial Design Authority | 40 Years Experience | Award-Winning | Multiple Patents

I’m an industrial designer and product development consultant with nearly 40 years of experience bringing products from concept to market across a wide range of industries—furniture, lighting, housewares, fitness equipment, and consumer goods.

My design consultancy specializes in helping companies, inventors, and investors translate ideas into commercially viable products. I provide hands-on guidance in product design, engineering, prototyping, sourcing, manufacturing, IP strategy, and licensing. My designs are known for their sculptural elegance and commercial appeal—appearing in permanent museum collections, global retail chains, and dozens of major films and television productions.

Clients rely on my expertise to:

  • Evaluate product concepts for market fit, cost, and scalability

  • Optimize design for manufacturability (DFM) and material efficiency

  • Source and coordinate with domestic and overseas manufacturers

  • Navigate licensing and intellectual property protections

  • Interpret market trends to guide strategic product decisions

I’ve been awarded numerous design patents and, in 2021, was granted a U.S. utility patent for an innovative resistance training device—the T2 FUSION TRAINER®—which combines friction and elastic resistance in a compact, portable system. It is regarded by fitness professionals as one of the most versatile tools ever created.

I am available for expert consultations, diligence calls, product evaluations, and strategic advisory related to:

  • Industrial and product design

  • Manufacturing process optimization

  • Fitness and wellness product development

  • Licensing and commercialization strategy

  • Emerging trends in consumer product innovation

Product Design and Development from concept to three-dimensional models to working prototypes. Extensive knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes, cost control, sourcing, engineering requirements, and market trends combine to create practical, yet innovative design solutions.
